Dancing with Emily!

Talofa lava Blog World,

Today Scott Class and I went to a dance session, our learning focus was to choreograph a dance. First of all, we learnt to do the hokey pokey dance. Then, we did some warm up by dancing. Last of all we needed to make a movement with our first letter of our name but our moves needed to be moving. Making a choreograph with the letter you start with is hard until Emily came and help me so all I needed to do is learning the move. Then we went into three groups and did our movements together. Here comes the exciting part ... We PERFORM! When it came to my group I was a little bit shaky until I started performing I kept giggling for some reason. For our finishing part we were stretching. Get comfy because you are going to see what Scott Class and I did for our first session of dance.
Here is one of the group doing their choreography

Here is another group doing their choreography and I'm loving their wavy hands :)

Here is everyone warming up. Can't wait to have our next session!

Country Study - Argentina

Last week and this week, we have been learning about cultures all around the world. We needed to choose a country that we didn't know about not even one thing but we needed to choose a country that wasn't pasifika and not in the western. I chose Argentina. I have a paper that has many information about Argentina. In my paper I needed to choose 3 information and put it in a presentation. My presentation is basic and on the last page it has a quiz for you. Fill out the form and see how many you get right!

My Manu Tukutuku Design

Talofa lava Blog World,

In reading, for our create task in Scott Class, we were told to design a Manu Tukutuku. The book that we read about Manu Tukutuku is called " Making Manu Taratahi", it was an AMAZING book! It has interesting facts ... I learnt that in the old days, manu tukutuku or kite - making was especially important at Matariki, the time of the Maori New Year.  I also learnt how to make Manu Tukutuku. I made a Manu Tuku on paper and I designed it. Here is my Manu Tukutuku:

Week 8 Hockey

Talofa lava Blog World,

Today we had our Hockey session. Me and Scott class walked to Waikowhai Intermediate's turf, as we stopped at the turf, we were told three options to choose which was that we could do exercising or drills or play the game. Most of us chose playing the game of Hockey, so then we get to play Hockey. After sorting out what we were doing we started to get into teams of seven. Here comes the excitement ... Playing the game! Before I share any photos. We learnt to communicate by not shouting and we also learnt to work as a team. Here are some photos of the awesome Scott Class:

Week 7 Gymnastics

Bonjua Blog World,

Today we finish having our session of Gymnastics. Today's focus was Swing. As soon as we all step inside, we all said " WOW" we said "WOW" because we saw a big mat and the beat board in front of it. Normally we just have a flat mat. When we started I wanted to start on the beat board for our big mat we had 2 options they were either doing a superhero ( when you jump you swing your arms and then land on your tummy ) the other options was diving and do a flip. Swing is mainly about swinging your arms or your legs. Get comfy because you are going to see some awesome photos of the awesome Scott Class:

Everyone is now listening.

Super Sentence

Kia ora Blog World,

We started doing super sentence last week Friday. First we need to get into pairs so we did, my pair was Osana. Before I start writing more, super sentences has seven steps which you need to include in your sentence if you are going to write a super sentence. The seven steps are:

  1. Add in words
  2. Drop in chunks of info
  3. Add on at the end
  4. Add on at the beginning
  5. Change words
  6. Add a simile
  7. Alliterate
For our first sentence we need to make this sentence ( The boy ran down to the river) into a super sentence. Me and Osana didn't put it into a sentence but we did the seven steps.

Our second task was to complete a sentence which was the child walked to school but we had to do it on our own. This is a image of mine:

I hope you liked it!
