Week 5 Hockey

Hello again blog world,

Today we had our week 5 session of Hockey. We mainly just played a Hockey game but our coach sent people out of the game. There was a reason why and that reason has helped us a lot . There were reasons that he sent us out, such as not letting the Hockey stick fly off the ground. Also not getting our fast feet in the way. When I mean by getting the fast feet in the way, I mean when we are playing we have to make sure that we are hitting the ball with the stick and not getting the ball stick to our feet. Get comfy because you are going to see some awesome actions from this morning's hockey session:

Week 4 Gymnastics

today was our Gymnastics. Today's focus was rotation. There were all sorts of turning. There were a half turn, full turn and all other sorts. We did some movements from weeks from before. I had so much fun!!! Here are some photos from today :

Week 4 Assembly

yesterday we had at great laughter :) We enjoy every second, minute and hour in yesterday's Scott Class Assembly. I saw everyone's face and they had smiles of sunshine and no sad faces. We learnt so much about Kiwiana. I was so thrilled to learn new things. As I heard about Kiwiana and things that were made in New Zealand, I felt like my brain was full with Kiwiana. We also had the two amazing Pee'ana and Tui doing the silly dance of the Gumboot song. Here are some photos from our Assembly so get comfortable and enjoy!

Gymnastics Week 3

Today in Scott Class we had our week 3 session of Gymnastics!!! Today's focus was landing. If you don't land in a good position you could hurt your body real bad ( so be careful ). And OMG Kane did the splits and most of us was struggling. Kane is a very flexible young man. Most of the positions and the tricks were tricky for Scott Class. It was good to learn about landing because if we didn't know then we would fall when we are doing things like jumping, we might fall when we get to the floor. Week 2 Chess

Yesterday half of the school learnt how to play chess. I was to excited because I didn't know how to play. I learnt that the game chess was invented in India the 6th century, apparently the king in India had a war to go to but he was so lazy that he ask his servants to make a game for him that he could play. In chess there is 32 pieces and they were the eight pawns, two rooks, one king and queen, two knights, two bishop. The equipment you will need for chess is a chess board and those 32 pieces.  Check out these photos from yesterday's chess session :
